Jake Gyllenhaal has worked with Dune director Denis Villeneuve on such classics as the f*cking strange-ass doppelganger movie Enemy and Prisoners. And today, the actor teased he’s reteaming with Villeneuve for a mysterious new project.

Gyllenhaal tells IndieWire: “There is something we are working on now.”

That’s all we’ve got at the moment. But stay tuned and we will make sure to pass along updates as we hear them. In the meantime, are you excited to see Jake Gyllenhaal reteam Denis Villeneuve? Prisoners told the tale of Keller Dover who faces a parent’s worst nightmare when his 6-year-old daughter and her friend go missing. The only lead is an old motorhome that had been parked on their street. The head of the investigation, Detective Loki (Gyllenhaal), arrests the driver (Paul Dano), but a lack of evidence forces Loki to release his only suspect. Dover, knowing that his daughter’s life is at stake, decides that he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands.

Rated R for language throughout, disturbing violent content, and torture, the film sports an 81% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Prisoners has an emotional complexity and a sense of dread that makes for absorbing (and disturbing) viewing.
