Netflix Unleashes HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES This Halloween
While Netflix won’t be adding much to it’s slate this Halloween, at least we can confirm they will unleash writer-director Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses.
The first film in the Firefly film series, the 2003 black comedy horror film stars Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon, Karen Black, Rainn Wilson, and Chris Hardwick.
Inspired by 70s fright flicks like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, the film follows two couples traveling across the country writing a book who are lead via an empty fuel tank and a flat tire down a terror-riddled road to a house of horror where they’re kidnapped and tortured by a psychotic family on Halloween.
At its core a story of family, House of 1000 Corpses sports a cast of twisted individuals who, with each throat slash or chest stab, add bodies to their sick human menagerie. It’s spawned two sequels, The Devil’s Rejects and 3 from Hell.
Rated R for sexuality, language, strong sadistic gore, strong sadistic violence, it sports a 20% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: There’s an abundance of gore in this derivative horror movie, but little sense or wit.
