THE BOYS: Amazon Orders SKY HIGH Style Spinoff Series

The second season of Amazon’s superhero satire series The Boys was “the most-watched global launch of an Amazon Original series ever,” and doubled season 1’s worldwide viewership in just two weeks. And so it makes sense that today we’re hearing that the streaming service has fast-tracked a Sky High-style spinoff series.

Showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:

The untitled spinoff is set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes and is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.

Part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys, the spin-off is written and executive produced by Craig Rosenberg who will serve as showrunner while Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen executive produce with Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, and Pavun Shetty.

The season 2 finale hits on October 9th. Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
