Sam Raimi’s DOCTOR STRANGE 2 Begins Filming in a Few Weeks
Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will begin shooting in a few weeks.
He tells WatchTime: “I’m in pre-production with the second Doctor Strange film, which is very exciting. We will start filming in late October or early November.”
Bring it on, I say!
Scott Derickson (Sinister, Doctor Strange) was set to return as the director but left due to creative differences. Raimi then took over Marvel’s first horror movie.
The original film told the tale of Dr. Stephen Strange’s whose life changes after a car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he looks for healing, and hope, in a mysterious enclave, and quickly learns it’s at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying reality. Before long, Strange is forced to choose between his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness was originally set to hit on May 7th, 2021, but will now (hopefully) land in theaters on March 25th, 2022.
