Grasshoppers Thirst For Human Blood in Netflix’s New French Fright Flick THE SWARM
Netflix has snagged world rights to French director Just Philippot’s horror thriller The Swarm about a woman who develops an obsessional bond with grasshoppers.
More specifically, the must-see motion picture stars French actress Suliane Brahim as a single mother struggling to get her grasshopper farm off the ground until she discovers – you guessed it – her livestock thrive on human blood. Moo-Haha.
The film will launch on Netflix on December 4th.
After the Cannes was canceled due to COVID, the film was selected for the Cannes Critics’ Week 2020 label. Since then, it has screened at Angoulême Francophone and will debut internationally at Spain’s Sitges Film Festival on October 18.
Capricci Films and The Jokers Films will release the film theatrically in France on November 4, while Capricci’s Spanish arm will launch it in Spain on November 20.
