Allison Williams Joins Blumhouse & James Wan’s Killer Doll Movie M3GAN
Get Out and The Perfection breakout Allison Williams is reuniting with Blumhouse for Gerard Johnstone’s upcoming tech horror thriller M3GAN.
Williams will executive produce and star as Gemma, a brilliant roboticist at a toy company that uses artificial intelligence to develop M3GAN, a life-like doll programmed to be a kid’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece, Gemma enlists the help of the M3GAN prototype – a decision that has unimaginable consequences.
Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) will direct from a script penned by Akela Cooper (Malignant, The Nun 2) based on a story by James Wan, who produces with Jason Blum. Williams, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Ryan Turek executive produce.
