Rory Culkin Up For M. Night Shyamalan’s SIGNS 2
One of Lords of Chaos and Scream 4 actor Rory Culkin’s first roles was in writer-director M. Night Shyamalan’s alien invasion freak out Signs. And today, Culkin confirms if Shyamalan reached out, he would be happy to return in Signs 2.
Culkin tells ComicBook.com: “Dude, why did you even put that in my head? I will campaign for that. I will make some calls about the Signs sequel. Grown-up Morgan Hess being obsessed [with aliens]? Good idea. I sort of have a hard time watching my work but it’s been long enough that I can separate myself and I do feel comfortable saying Signs rules, I think it’s a cool movie.”
I agree.
In the film, everything that farmer Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) assumed about the world is changed when he discovers a message – an intricate pattern of circles and lines – carved into his crops. As he investigates the unfolding mystery, what he finds will forever alter the lives of his brother (Joaquin Phoenix) and children (Rory Culkin), (Abigail Breslin). A unique story that explores the mysterious real-life phenomena of crop signs and the effects they have on one man and his family.
Until we hear more about Shyamalan’s Signs 2, you can check out Culkin in American Psycho director Mary Harron’s new series, The Expecting, and Sam Raimi’s horror anthology series 50 States of Fright, both now streaming on Quibi.
