Exclusive Track Premiere: “Tenderheaded” by Kris Bowers from BAD HAIR Soundtrack
Lakeshore Records is set to release Bad Hair—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on October 23. The album features a multi-faceted score by Emmy Award-winning composer Kris Bowers that showcases angular and tension-filled orchestrations alongside minimal electronic atmospherics. The soundtrack also features New Jack Swing-inspired songs featuring Kelly Rowland, Braxton Cook, and writer/director Justin Simien that provide the perfect backdrop to the satirical horror thriller set in 1989. The Hulu original film hits the streaming service on October 23rd.
Synopsis:
Bad Hair follows an ambitious young woman (Elle Lorraine) who gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music television. However, her flourishing career comes at a great cost when she realizes that her new hair may have a mind of its own.
The film stars Elle Lorraine, Vanessa Williams, Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox, Jay Pharoah, Kelly Rowland, Blair Underwood, James Van Der Beek, and Usher Raymond. Executive Producers include Leonid Lebedev, Oren Moverman, and Alex G. Scott. The film is produced by Sight Unseen in association with Culture Machine.
