NEWS
This weekend’s CBGB Festival in New York was shut down after former Cro-Mags bassist Harley Flanagan allegedly stabbed the band’s current bassist, Mike Couls. Sources report that another man was also bitten, but both victims are expected to be okay. Flanagan has been taken into police custody. Read more on the story here.

Slayer have begun recording their new album, which will likely be released in early 2012.

Abigail Williams are breaking up following their upcoming U.S. tour. A statement from the band can be found here.

Iwrestledabearonce vocalist Krysta Cameron has dropped off Warped Tour because she is pregnant. The band is carrying on with friend Courtney LaPlante filling in. Read a statement from the band here.

On July 17th Smashing Pumpkins‘ iconic third album Pisces Iscariot will receives the fully remastered treatment. Featuring the band’s take on the Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks song “Landslide” which reached #3 on Modern Rock Tracks chart, Pisces Iscariot is being released in multiple configurations: Deluxe Physical Album–which comes with a live DVD and the first-ever Pumpkins demo reproduced on cassette, Deluxe Digital, Standard Physical, Digital and 180G Vinyl. The bonus content and special features were curated from the band’s archives by founding member Billy Corgan and have been painstakingly remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by Bob Ludwig. MUSIC
Stream Hellyeah‘s new album, Band of Brothers, here. The supergroup features members of Pantera, Mudvayne, Damageplan and Nothingface. It will be released on July 17 via Eleven Seven Music.

Listen to a new Fozzy song entitled “Sandpaper” here. The track features Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows. Sin and Bones, the new album from the hard rock band, fronted by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, will be released on August 14 via Century Media Records.
