Toy Horror BENNY LOVES YOU Snags “Best Gore” & “First Blood” Awards at FrightFest
Look out Chucky, there’s a new kid on the block, and his name is Benny!
The toy/doll horror film Benny Loves You scored a nomination for “Best Monster” for little ol’ Benny and took home the trophy for “Best Gore” for the movie’s climactic rampage.
Benny Loves You was also one of 5 films nominated for the “First Blood” award (sponsored by FrightFest and The Horror Channel), celebrating movies from first-time directors. All of us here at Dread Central want to congratulate writer/director Karl Holt and Benny Loves You for leading that pack by snagging this prestigious award.
Synopsis:
Hell hath no fury like a teddy scorned! After the accidental death of his parents, Jack must sell his family home and start a new life. But when he throws out his beloved childhood toy, Benny. It’s a move that can only end in death.
