Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry YouTube Channel to Air Written by a Kid Every WednesdayWe know a lot of our readers are big Felicia Day fans so we thought we’d update you on the latest news out of Comic-Con with regard to her Geek & Sundry YouTube channel, especially since it involves a new horror project: “Written by a Kid”.

From the Press Release:
Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry, a multimedia company and hit premium YouTube channel dedicated to the best of indie geek entertainment, launched on April 2, 2012, and its new roster of programming for the summer will include “Written by a Kid” (premiering July 18th with new episodes every Wednesday).

Original sci-fi, fantasy, and horror stories by real kids are transformed into stunning shorts by some of today’s coolest directors. The series premieres with “Scary Smash” directed by Daniel Strange, in which S.Q.U.A.T. team (you read that right) commander Gerald (Joss Whedon) engages in an EPIC battle against a monster. Joss’ co-stars include Dave Foley as “Milkman” and Kate Micucci as “Lady.” “Written by a Kid” combines original live-action and animated pieces that truly capture the madness and magic of the 5- to 10-year-old mindset.

Directors include Daniel Strange (Between Two Ferns with Zach Galfianakis), Rhett & Link (IFC’s Commercial Kings), and Roque Ballesteros (Ghostbot Animation Studios). The series was created by Josh Flaum and Will Bowles; new episodes go up every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT.

“Since Geek & Sundry launched in April, we’ve received an overwhelming response from fans of our shows,” said Felicia Day. “At Comic-Con this week we really wanted to give back to our community through our dedicated events and hope they’re excited about the new series that we’ve created for them for the rest of the year.
