Searchlight Snags Claire Foy Horror-Thriller DUST

Claire Foy’s horror-thriller Dust was unveiled at the Cannes Virtual Market four months ago. And today we hear Disney’s Searchlight has snagged the rights.
The fairly self-contained film is set around a remote farmhouse and follows a woman (Foy) who becomes increasingly traumatized in 1930s Oklahoma amid the region’s horrific dust storms and convinces herself that a mysterious presence is threatening her family. She then takes extraordinary measures to protect them.
Will Joines and Karrie Crouse direct the horror-thriller from a screenplay written by Crouse. Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone) is producing with Lucas Joaquin.
