Hulu Cancels Stephen King’s CASTLE ROCK
After two seasons, Hulu has finally given J.J. Abrams’ Stephen King series Castle Rock the boot. No reason has been given but it’s assumed it has to do with COVID.
The stellar second season centered on Misery‘s Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan from True Blood, Cloverfield) and her adventures in Jerusalem’s Lot aka Salem’s Lot.
Created by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason, Castle Rock is a psychological horror anthology series, featuring and inspired by characters, settings, and themes from the stories created by Stephen King and his fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine.
The two seasons featured stars such as stars André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy, Sissy Spacek, Lizzy Caplan, Elsie Fisher, and Tim Robbins.
The series hit Hulu in July 2018. The first season sports an 87% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: A meticulously crafted mystery brimming with allusions, Castle Rock is bound to please even the pickiest of Stephen King fans — though mileage may vary for casual viewers.
