Colin Firth Joins ZOMBIE BROTHER Adaptation NEW YORK WILL EAT YOU ALIVE
STXfilms and Tencent Pictures action-comedy based on the digital comic Zombie Brother, New York Will Eat You Alive (tentative title) has snagged Colin Firth.
Channing Tatum is producing the adaptation which will be directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (The Final Girls) from a screenplay written by Alex Rubens.
Dan Gregor and Doug Mand penned the current revisions.
Created by Jia Haibo, Zombie Brother is one of the most popular titles on Tencent’s digital comics and animation platform. The comic book has over 28 billion views and its animated series has more than 3.7 billion views in its first two seasons.
The franchise has even spawned a stage play.

From The King’s Speech to Kingsman, Colin always gives an Oscar-caliber performance. We’re thrilled to be reuniting with him on New York Will Eat You Alive in a role that will allow him to have fun while showcasing his deadpan humor and comic timing.”
Channing Tatum’s producing partners include Tencent, STXfilms, Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Ged Doherty, Conor Zorn, Wenxin She, Drew Simon, Patricia Braga, and Katie Zhao. Edward Cheng and Strauss-Schulson are executive producers.
