It’s been a while since we’ve gotten an update on Cuyle Carvin’s short film Amused, but the writer/director of the project dropped us a line today and included the new poster and some stills along with what his next steps are.
Carvin (who has appeared in Assault of the Sasquatch and post-apocalyptic web series Revelations) produced Amused through his By the C Productions company along with Alex Tucker and Angela Relucio. He affectionately calls the project his “first born” and says, “I’m sending off the first batch of DVD’s to a bunch of horror festivals, and the goal will be to get into 10 between this year and next.”
The film stars Elise Rovinsky and Ryan Metzger. Cinematography is by Colin Rivera, who co-edited Amused with Carvin; the score is by Zach Letts.

Synopsis:
After a routine morning filled with errands, Martha returns to her quiet and tranquil country home to find horror feasting upon her daughter’s scalp. A terrifying chase ensues through the frozen countryside. Alone and desperate, Martha’s left to face the vast isolation as terror lurks and awaits for its chance to pounce.
Amused explores a silent fear of rural living. The peace and quiet that the country life offers might not be worth much when no one can hear you scream.
