Saban Snags WRONG TURN Reboot
Saban Films (3 from Hell, Come to Daddy) has picked up North American rights to Constantin Film and The Domestics director Mike P. Nelson’s reboot of Wrong Turn.
Saban Films also brought us The Girl with All the Gifts, Power Rangers, I See You, Guns Akimbo, Vivarium, We Summon the Darkness, The Silencing, and Death of Me. Not to mention Day of the Dead: Bloodline, Between Worlds, The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Tone-Deaf, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and The Night Clerk
Nelson’s Wrong Turn reboot has been slapped with a (not surprising) R-rating via the MPAA for “strong bloody violence, grisly images, and pervasive language.”
Alan B. McElroy returns to pen the new film which finds a group of hikers on the Appalachian Trail confronted by a community of people who have lived in the mountains since before the Civil War. One guess who these mountain people are…
The new film stars Matthew Modine (47 Meters Down), Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night), Bill Sage (Hap and Leonard), Emma Dumont (The Gifted), Valerie Jane Parker, Chaney Morrow, and David Hutchinson. Dylan McTee will costar along with Adrian Favela, Adain Bradley, Jeremy Ambler, Cory Scott Allen, Gary Ray Stearns, Rhyan Elizabeth Hanavan, Vardaan Arora, Mark Mench, Joshua Stephen Campbell, Jennie Malone, Brian James Fitzpatrick, and Mark Angel.
