DEXTER Revival Snags New Director
Michael C. Hall returns as everyone’s favorite serial killer in Showtime’s limited series Dexter revival. And today we hear Marcos Siega will helm six episodes.
Siega directed nine episodes of the original series along with episodes of shows such as Batwoman, True Blood, The Following, and The Flight Attendant.
He also helmed Pretty Persuasion with Evan Rachel Wood.
Siega will executive produce with Hall, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, Scott Reynolds, and Clyde Phillips who was showrunner on the first four seasons.
Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. said in a statement: “Dexter is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world!”
Production begins in 2021, with a premiere set for fall 2021.
