Video: Tony Todd Tells 9-Year-Old Journalist “Helen Might Come Back” in Nia DaCosta’s CANDYMAN
Jam Man in a 9-year-old journalist likely to put me out of a job in a few more years! The trepidatious tyke is a horror fan with his own talk show, and one of his recent guests was the incomparable Tony Todd–the actor synonymous with tortured genre villain, Candyman!
Todd revealed some details about Nia DaCosta’s upcoming reboot/sequel, hinting there’s a chance Helen (played by Virginia Madsen in the original Candyman, released in 1992) is coming back!
Todd also states that if theaters stay closed DaCosta’s Candyman will go straight to VOD.

Synopsis:
In present day, a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down, Anthony and his girlfriend move into a loft in the now gentrified Cabrini. A chance encounter with an old-timer exposes Anthony to the true story behind Candyman. Anxious to use these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, he unknowingly opens a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifying wave of violence.
