DEXTER Will Be Leaving Netflix in December – Start Binging Now!
Looks like Showtime’s Dexter is leaving Netflix next month. This is a shame considering Michael C. Hall returns as everyone’s favorite serial killer in Showtime’s limited series revival next year. So start binging today. Happy Thanksgiving!
For those that might not know, the series follows Dexter Morgan. A man with homicidal tendencies, who lives a double life. He works as a forensic technician during the day and kills heinous perpetrators in his free time.
The first season sports an 82% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Its dark but novel premise may be too grotesque for some, but Dexter is a compelling, elegantly crafted horror-drama.

Marcos Siega will helm six episodes of the upcoming Dexter limited series. This is fitting considering Siega directed nine episodes of the original series. He also helmed episodes of shows such as Batwoman, True Blood, and The Following.
Siega will executive produce the Dexter revival. Hall will too along with John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, and Scott Reynolds. Clyde Phillips – who served as showrunner on the first four seasons – returns as well.
Showtime’s Gary Levine and Jana Winograde on the revival: “Dexter is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world!”
Dexter season 9 begins production in 2021, with a premiere set for fall 2021. In the meantime, Dexter departs Netflix on December 31, 2020.
Will you (try to) binge the show before the end of the month?
