Bryan Cranston has to be one of the hardest working men in entertainment these days. No matter what the role, Cranston manages to dole out some of the most compelling characters of our times.

Not only has he continued to blow away fans and critics over the last five seasons with his powerhouse performance as Walter White in AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” but in just the last two years he’s also been involved with numerous feature films including The Lincoln Lawyer, Drive, Larry Crowne, Contagion, John Carter, Red Tails, Rock of Ages, Madagascar 3 and the upcoming Ben Affleck-helmed political thriller Argo.

His latest, Total Recall (review here), hits theaters on Friday, August 3rd, and to get you guys ready, Dread Central recently chatted with the hilarious Cranston about his role in the flick as the villainous Chancellor Cohaagen and heard more about his experiences working on the project alongside his co-stars Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale.

During our interview we also spoke with Cranston about “Breaking Bad,” which will be celebrating its final season in 2013, asking him how he thought Walt would deal with Hank when the time comes:

“Oh yeah, Walt will handle Hank,” said Cranston. “Hank doesn’t pose a tremendous threat to Walt at this point, but it’s all going to turn at some point. It’s ‘Breaking Bad’ not ‘Breaking Good’ so you can trust that everything is going to go slip-sliding to Hell, and it’s been a great ride.”

Synopsis
Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he’s got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) whom he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston) – there is no one Quaid can trust, except possibly a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) working for the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy). The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.
