THE GOONIES Will Reunite with The Fratelli Brothers This Friday

The original cast of The Goonies – plus the Fratelli Brothers – will reunite this Friday, December 5th. The gang is getting back together in order to raise money and awareness to benefit No Kid Hungry.

Yes, the Fratellis (Joe Pantoliano and Robert Davi) will join Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, Martha Plimpton, Corey Feldman, Kerri Green, Jonathan Ke Quan, and Jeff Cohen.

The Goonies director Richard Donner (The Omen) says: “The same spirit of bravery, sacrifice, and camaraderie that The Goonies showed in our movie is what families all over the world are experiencing as we all face this pandemic.”

In the meantime, remember The Goonies is an old-fashioned yarn about a band of adventurous kids. They take on the might of a property developing company that plans to destroy their homes. When they discover an old pirate map in the attic, they follow it into an underground cavern. Then the search for lost treasure begins. But they come up against plenty of dangerous obstacles along the way.

The film sports a 76% over on Rotten Tomatoes. The with a Critics Consensus that reads: The Goonies is an energetic, sometimes noisy mix of Spielbergian sentiment and funhouse tricks that will appeal to kids and nostalgic adults alike.
