WILLOW Sequel Series Adds THE CRAFT Star And More

Disney+ and LucasFilm’s Willow series will serve as a direct sequel to producer George Lucas’ 1988 classic with original director Ron Howard producing and Warwick Davis returning as Willow. And today, we have new story details.

We already knew the series takes place years after the original film and introduces new characters to the enchanted realm of fairy queens and two-headed monsters, all while welcoming back its namesake hero, Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis).

And now, Deadline reports the series revolves around a group on a mission to save a kidnapped prince. Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy), Ellie Bamber (Nocturnal Animals), Erin Kellyman (Solo: A Star Wars Story) are the three female leads.

Bamber plays Dove, whose backstory resembles Willow’s. Dove is an unassuming kitchen maid who proves she is the “chosen one” as she embarks on the journey.

She is joined by Kit (Spaeny), the princess whose twin brother was abducted. She is destined to be a leader and ultimately the queen.

Kellyman plays Jade, a servant who is Kit’s best friend and moral compass. She is on her way to becoming the best young warrior in the kingdom.
