Queen Latifah Targeted by Mysterious Killer in New Netflix Thriller
Queen Latifah has snagged the lead in Netflix’s new thriller End of the Road. Millicent Shelton (P-Valley, Black-ish, Hunters) will direct from a script by David Loughery (The Intruder) based on an original screenplay by Christopher Moore.
Latifah will star as a recent widow who, after losing her job, drives her family cross-country to start a new life. In the New Mexico desert, cut off from help, they must learn to fight back when they become the targets of a mysterious killer.
Tracey Edmonds (The Postcard Killings) will produce along with Mark Burg and Brad Kaplan. Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere will exec produce.
This won’t be the first time Queen Latifah has stopped by our beloved genre. The Set It Off star sports roles in such genre flicks as Sphere and The Bone Collector.

The Bone Collector centered on a cop (Angelina Jolie) in pursuit of a serial killer whose calling card is a small shard of bone extracted from his victims. Unable to decipher the cryptic clues the killer leaves behind at the scene of the crime, she calls upon a quadriplegic forensic criminology expert (Denzel Washington) to help. The pair piece together clues, hoping they will learn who the next victim is.
Queen Latifah also served as executive producer on MTV’s reboot of Scream.
Brett Matthews served as the showrunner on the third season while Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Yaneley Arty were executive producers. RJ Cyler starred with C. J. Wallace, Tyga, Keke Palmer, Jessica Sula, Giorgia Whigham, and Tyler Posey. Tony Todd and Mary J. Blige joined them along with Roger L. Jackson as the voice of Ghostface. Scream: Resurrection premiered on VH1 back on July 8, 2019.
