Pre-production is under way on Jason (Monsters in the Woods) Horton’s next feature, entitled Eat, and we have the film’s synopsis, artwork, and early casting news to share.
Ashton Blanchard, who appeared in Horton’s Monsters in the Woods and Trap stars in Eat, and Lee (Slime City Massacre, Carnies) Perkins has just signed on as well. Lee tells us Eat has “an action-packed script with some very funny bits.” Their co-stars include Annemarie Pazmino (Trap, “The Online Gamer”) and Allen Perada (Body Snatchers, Parts of Disease).
Eat is written and directed by Horton and produced by Robert Bravo. The film is described as a kick-ass 70’s style zombie thriller, and it’s set to shoot in October 2012. Look for a teaser trailer soon, and for more in the meantime “like” Eat on Facebook and follow Eat on Twitter.
Synopsis:
The zombie apocalypse is upon us. During the initial onslaught of the undead, a struggling father packs up what is left of his family and hits the road in his ’68 Barracuda. After two years of misery on the road, they happen upon a seemingly abandoned and secure rural junkyard. They stop for shelter and car repairs but are not alone. Now trapped within the junkyard, they must fend off an oncoming zombie hoard while battling a new human threat from within.
