KONG: SKULL ISLAND Now Streaming on HBO Max
Godzilla vs Kong will hopefully hit theaters (and maybe HBO Max) someday. And while we wait, why not check out one of the new MonsterVerse classics. Yes, HBO Max has just added Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island to their list of films.

Vogt-Roberts’ awesome reboot stars Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson. John Goodman joins them with Brie Larson, Toby Kebbell, and John C. Reilly.

It begins when scientists, soldiers, and adventurers unite to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. Cut off from everything they know, they venture into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature. As their mission of discovery soon becomes one of survival, they must fight to escape from a primal world where humanity does not belong.
The film sports a 75% over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Offering exhilarating eye candy, solid acting, and a fast-paced story, it earns its spot in the movie monster’s mythos without ever matching up to the classic original.
