SWAMP THING Coming Soon to HBO Max … But New Season Still Unlikely

For those who might have blocked out the memory, DC Universe canceled their awesome Swamp Thing series after one episode aired. It’s since moved to The CW and will hit HBO Max soon. But… it looks like any hopes for more season are dead.

Bummer.

TVLine reports: “Considering how quickly DCU pulled the plug, and then factoring in that the sets are long gone and any cast contracts are quite expired, sources tell me that all signs point to a Season 2 not happening, anywhere.”

Urgh. We’ll let you know if we hear anything further.

Swamp Thing followed Dr. Abby Arcane as she investigates a deadly swamp-born virus in the small town of Marais. Then a mysterious creature emerges from the murky marsh. Now she finds herself facing the nightmares of a supernatural world where no one is safe. Now nature is out of balance and coming for the people of Marais. And it may take some Thing from the swamp to save it.
