Video Explores That Time When Kristy Cotton Became Pinhead
There’s an irony in Hellraiser fandom: Many die-hards refuse to accept anyone besides Doug Bradley playing Pinhead in film adaptations of Clive Barker’s The Hellbound Heart.

It’s ironic for a few reasons. First of all, Bradley played Pinhead for three decades (and not since 2005!), so why not give someone else a chance? Second, Pinhead was never meant to be the intimidating antihero he became in film, rather a minion of another Cenobite. Finally, fans of the BOOM! Hellraiser comics understand that Pinhead is more of a title than a person. Leviathan’s Hell Priest is adorned with scars and nails, whoever he (or she) is. Indeed, Elliot Spenser (Pinhead’s human name) was not the first Hell Priest–or the last.
