A&E Greenlights a New Pilot for an Occult Crimes Drama from James Wong

A&E is starting to look like horror’s new best friend. With its “Bates Hotel” series on the way and a pilot coming for “Those Who Kill”, another genre project has just been greenlit with some pretty impressive talent behind it. Read on for the details!
Per Deadline, A&E has given a cast-contingent pilot order to “Occult,” a potential new series written by veteran genre writer James Wong (“The X-Files,” “Millennium,” “American Horror Story”). Wong will executive produce with Michael Bay and his partners at Platinum Dunes, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, producing. There is no studio attached yet.
“Occult” centers on a FBI agent who returns from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Eager to be back on the job, he is paired with an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult. Together they will solve cases for the newly formed occult crimes task force.
