John Carpenter Teases Talks of a Sequel to THE FOG
Halloween and The Thing director John Carpenter’s The Fog with Jamie Lee Curtis is one of our favorites. And today, Carpenter says there have been talks of a sequel.
Carpenter tells NME: “There’s been talk of a sequel to The Fog. There’s been talk of sequels for a bunch of my movies. They just haven’t happened yet because of various reasons. But yeah, we’ve talked about them and I’m open to them.”
I’d love to see a sequel to The Fog! How about you?

The original film starred Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Janet Leigh. It begins when strange things begin to occur in a tiny California coastal town preparing to commemorate its centenary. Inanimate objects spring eerily to life; Rev. Malone (Hal Holbrook) stumbles upon a dark secret about the town’s founding; radio announcer Stevie (Barbeau) witnesses a mystical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth (Jamie Lee Curtis) discovers the mutilated corpse of a fisherman. Then a mysterious iridescent fog descends upon the village…
The film sports a 74% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: A well-crafted return to horror for genre giant John Carpenter, The Fog rolls in and wraps viewers in suitably slow-building chills.
