James Wan’s TRAIN TO BUSAN Remake Lands New Director
James Wan is producing Train to Busan remake for New Line. And today we hear the flick has snagged May the Devil Take You director Timo Tjahjanto.
Tjahjanto also co-directed the “Safe Haven” segment of V/H/S 2 with Gareth Evans, May the Devil Take You Too, and Netflix’s recent action-thriller The Night Comes for Us starring Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim (The Raid).

The Nun and IT screenwriter Gary Dauberman penned the remake. Judson Scott will executive produce with Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, and Johanna Byer.
The original film follows a man (Gong Yoo), his estranged daughter and other passengers trapped on a speeding train during a zombie outbreak in South Korea.
The film sports a 94% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Train to Busan delivers a thrillingly unique — and purely entertaining — take on the zombie genre, with fully realized characters and plenty of social commentary to underscore the bursts of skillfully staged action.
