New Yorker Discovers Secret Room Behind Bathroom Mirror Reminding Horror Fans of CANDYMAN

Samantha Hartsoe rents an apartment in New York City and, recently, she noticed a strange draft coming from her bathroom. Searching for the source, Hartsoe eventually discovered that her medicine cabinet mirror was loose. Documenting her sleuthing endeavors for Tik-Tok, what unfolded seems disturbingly similar to a scene from Bernard Rose’s Candyman!

In Candyman (released in 1992) graduate student Helen Lyle (played by Virginia Madsen) investigates the source of an urban legend that has terrorized the residents of Chicago’s Cabrini-Green housing project. While investigating one resident’s bathroom, she discovers a secret entrance into the lair of Candyman (played by Tony Todd).

A reboot of Candyman directed by Nia DaCosta is slated for release on August 27th. Check out the trailer and synopsis below.

Synopsis:
A “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 horror film ‘Candyman’ that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.

Candyman is produced and co-written by Jordan Peele; the film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

The first Candyman movie was released in 1992; that film was directed by Bernard Rose and is based on the short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker.
