Horror History: THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT Was Released in 2018
On this day in horror history, Johannes Roberts’ The Strangers: Prey at Night with Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman opened in 2018.
The film follows a happy family on a road trip that becomes their worst nightmare. They are soon in a desperate fight for survival at a secluded and mysteriously deserted mobile home park. Then three mysterious, masked psychopaths show up to satisfy their thirst for blood, guts, and gore. Oh, and killer 80s music to boot.

Rated R for horror violence and terror throughout, and for language, the film sports a 39% over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: The Strangers: Prey at Night may appeal to fans of the original who’ve been jonesing for a sequel, but its thin story and ironic embrace of genre tropes add up to a bloody step back.
Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged) directed the film from a screenplay written by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai. Christina Hendricks stars along with Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman. Wayne Marc Godfrey produced along with James Harris, Robert Jones, and Mark Lane.
