Cast Your Ballot for the 19th Annual RONDO AWARDS!

It’s that time of year again! While cinephiles at large look forward to the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, horror fans get giddy for the Rondos! Ballots are out now for the 19th Annual Rondo Awards; see the full list of nominees and vote now, HERE.

History:
Since 2002, the Rondos have been fandom’s only classic horror awards — decided by fans, for fans. Every nominee below is being recognized for significant work or achievement in the year 2019  So add your voice and help make a difference.

Dread Central is humbled to be nominated for “Best Horror Website” of 2020!

In addition, we’re immensely proud of our contributors Drew Tinnin and Preston Fassel. Both have been nominated for a “Best Interview” of 2020 Rondo, Drew for his interview with Greg Nicotero (Creepshow TV series), and Preston for his interview with Joe Zito and Barney Cohen (Friday the 13th Part 4).

Sea Fever, an ocean-set Lovecraftian horror movie distributed by Epic Pictures (Dread Central’s parent company), has also been nominated for “Best Independent Film” of 2020! If you haven’t seen it for yourself yet, check out the trailer and synopsis below.

Synopsis:
Solitary marine-biology student Siobhán endures a week on a ragged fishing trawler, miserably at odds with the close-knit crew. But out in the deep Atlantic, an unfathomable life-form soon ensnares the boat. As members of the crew now succumb to a strange infection, Siobhán must overcome her alienation and win their trust — before everyone is lost.

Sea Fever is written and directed by Neasa Hardiman and stars Hermione Corfield, Dag Malmberg, and Jack Hickey.
