Our New Favorite Scream Queen Kate Siegel to Lead Netflix’s HYPNOTIC
Kate Siegel is one of our favorite actresses in the genre. From The Haunting of Bly Manor and The Haunting of Hill House to Hush and Gerald’s Game, she’s fantastic.
And today we’d like to pass along word that she has been cast to lead the new Netflix horror flick Hypnotic. The thriller centers on a young woman seeking self-improvement, who enlists the help of a renowned hypnotist. But after a handful of intense sessions, she soon discovers unexpected and deadly consequences.

My favorite Kate Siegel flick is Mike Flanagan’s home invasion thriller Hush. It follows a deaf writer living a solitary life in the woods who must fight for her life when a masked killer appears in her window. Flanagan directed and edited the slasher film. He also penned the stellar script along with leading lady (and wife) Kate Siegel. John Gallagher Jr. co-stars along with Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, and Emilia “Emma” Graves. Trevor Macy produced with Jason Blum.
Rated R for strong violence/terror and some language, the film sports a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Hush navigates the bloody waters of home invasion thrillers and incisive slashers for a contemporary horror puree.
