Horror History: Happy Birthday New Scream Queen, Alexandra Daddario!
On this day in horror history, Alexandra Daddario was born in New York in 1986. We know her from fright flicks such as Bereavement, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Burying the Ex, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, and We Summon the Darkness.
Not to mention memorable turns on True Detective and American Horror Story.
Her first movie was The Squid and the Whale. She quickly followed that up with Hall Pass, San Andreas, and Baywatch. And don’t forget Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

On top of all that she has snagged guest appearances in tons of classic shows. These include All My Children, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie, New Girl, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Texas Chainsaw 3D begins decades ago when the residents of Newt, Texas torch the Sawyer compound and killed every member of the family. Or so they think. Much later, a young woman (Daddario) learns she’s inherited Texas property from an unknown relative. But she’s unaware of horrors that await in the dank cellar.
Rated R for strong grisly violence and language throughout, it sports a 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: An ugly and cynical attempt to rebrand Leatherface an anti-hero, Texas Chainsaw 3D is a bold move.
