THE BEACH Directed by Rodrigo Gudiño and Produced by Slash Wraps Filming
The Beach, a new horror movie directed by Rue Morgue Magazine founder Rodrigo Gudiño, has finished principal photography. Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash serves as an executive producer on the film and will also co-produce the score. Variety broke the news reporting:
Based on a book by horror novelist Nick Cutter (born Craig Davidson), with a screenplay co-penned by Cutter and Ian Weir, The Breach centers on John Hawkins, who is set to retire from his post as police chief of the small town of Lone Crow that is tucked away in the deep woods of northern Ontario. But following the discovery of a gruesome body with uncanny injuries, he’s pulled into an investigation to solve the horrifying mystery, which evades explanation.
The Beach stars Allan Hawco (Frontier, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Emily Alatalo (Spare Parts), Wesley French (Through Black Spruce), Natalie Brown (The Strain), and Adam Kenneth Wilson (24 Hour Rental).
This film is being distributed by Raven Banner Entertainment, who previously collaborated with Slash on Nothing Left to Fear, the first film produced under the rocker’s Slasher Films label. That film, directed by Anthony Leonardi III and starring Anne Heche and James Tupper, was released in 2013.
