Michael Madsen, Doug Jones & Casper Van Dien Star In New Fan Film BATMAN: DYING IS EASY
A new Batman fan film called Dying Is Easy has been going viral over the last few days, and it’s easy to see why. Directed by brothers Aaron and Sean Schoenke and uploaded to the Batinthesun YouTube channel, Dying Is Easy stars Kevin Porter as Batman, with co-director Aaron Schoenke also appearing as the Caped Crusader’s arch-nemesis, the Joker.
The twenty-five-minute fan film finds Batman confronting the Joker at Arkham Asylum after learning that the Clown Prince of Crime is dying from melanoma. While Batman intends to question the Joker about the disappearances of three Gotham City police officers, the Joker actually has something else in mind, as he wishes for Batman to end his life before his skin cancer does.
Michael Madsen, who is known for his roles in films such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Donnie Brasco, appears in Dying Is Easy as Lieutenant Harvey Bullock, while Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien shows up as Commissioner Gordon. On the other hand, frequent Guillermo del Toro collaborator Doug Jones also briefly appears as the Riddler, so this fan film is filled with appearances from major Hollywood stars.
You can view Batman: Dying Is Easy in the player below, and we’re confident it will develop a reputation as one of the finest DC fan films ever released. With impressive performances from both Porter and Schoenke, Hollywood-level production values, and multiple appearances from major stars, this is certainly a short film which demands your immediate attention. And unlike Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Dying Is Easy isn’t four hours long, so it won’t take up too much of your time.
