New Danny Trejo / Tobin Bell Movie WOLF MOUNTAIN Has Now Wrapped
Director David Lipper’s Wolf Mountain with Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn, Machete Kills) and Tobin Bell (Saw, Jigsaw) has wrapped production in California.
Keli Price (Side Effects) stars as a guy having vivid dreams of his parents’ death. So he goes back to where they died 20 years ago. His brother and his brother’s family accompany him. But there’s something mysterious roaming these woods.
Now, I don’t know too much about the talent behind the scenes of this new flick. But that’s not really an issue. After all, sometimes horror movies are best served by filmmakers we’ve never heard of. Plus, at the end of the day, it’s not exactly easy to turn down the chance to check out a movie that teams up Machete and Jigsaw.
And while an actual team-up movie between the two might be nothing more than a dream, at least this movie gets us thinking. Here’s the tagline for Machete vs Jigsaw: “Oh, yes. There will blood. Like obscene amounts of blood. Like as much blood as you can look at on a screen without getting your eyes wet”. Sounds good to me.

Co-stars include Karissa Staples (Necessary Roughness, Everyone Is Doing Great), Fernanda Romero (The Eye, Drag Me to Hell), Eddie McClintock (The Sweetest Thing, Warehouse 13), Matt Rife (Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything), Kenny Yates (Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie), and Latin singer Malu Trevejo (whose single “Luna Llena” has been viewed over 112M times on YouTube).
Says Lipper: “Malu Trevejo is a superstar. She’s already surpassed 111 million views on her hit song Luna IIena on YouTube and I see bigger things ahead with her in film. She simply lights up the screen in Wolf Mountain. Watching her spar in Spanish with Danny Trejo was a lot of fun.”
Lipper directs from a screenplay by Price. Lipper and Price also produce with Kipp Tribble, Joshua Santana, and Kenny Yates. David Briner, Steve Gentry, Ram Paul Silbey, and Justin L Levine executive produced Wolf Mountain. Stephen Belafonte co-executive produced.
