4 Out of 5 PHANTASM Flicks Now Streaming on Peacock

NBC’s new-ish Peacock is known as “The streaming service that has The Office”. But as of today, it might be known as “The streaming service that has The Office … and four of the five of the Phantasm flicks.”

Yes, as of yesterday, Phantasm, Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, Phantasm IV: Oblivion, and Phantasm V: Ravager are now available for your viewing pleasure.

Where’s Phantasm II? Universal holds the rights to that one. Oh, well.

The original film kicks off when residents of a small town begin dying under strange circumstances. Young Mike (Michael Baldwin) investigates and discovers the town’s mortician (Angus Scrimm) is reanimating the dead as misshapen zombies. Mike seeks help from his older brother, Jody (Bill Thornbury), and local ice cream man Reggie (Reggie Bannister). Together they try to lure out and kill the Tall Man.

Skipping Part II.

Lord of the Dead finds the evil alien known as the Tall Man infiltrating the minds of Mike and Reggie. The two embark on a journey to find and kill him. Only to discover he has destroyed town after town, leaving zombies in place of the living. Along the way, Mike and Reggie meet several characters who share their goal. Including a murderous boy named Tim (Kevin Connors) and two killer women.

Oblivion – picks up with Mike running from the Tall Man, who wants to enslave him as an undead servant. Along the way, he investigates the origins of his enemy. Elsewhere, Reggie searches for Mike in a variety of dimensions. All the while battling mysterious spheres, including the ones he’s discovered in the breasts of his beautiful undead companion. The friends must stop the Tall Man before he destroys them all.

Finally, Ravager centers on Reggie, Mike, and Jody continuing their quest to stop the evil, dimension-hopping schemes of The Tall Man and his armada of killer Sentinel Spheres. This time, the fight becomes a multi-dimensional battle across timelines, planets, and realities. And no less than the fate of Earth is on the line.
