Fede Álvarez Shares New Never-Before-Seen Pics from EVIL DEAD
Yesterday was the 8th Anniversary of Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead reboot. A film that almost single-handedly cured my knee-jerk disdain of remakes. The film took the spirit of Sam Raimi’s original franchise and repackaged it with some heavy themes, deep drama, and a record-breaking amount of gore.

Evil Dead Synopsis:
Mia (Jane Levy), a drug addict, is determined to kick the habit. To that end, she asks her brother, David (Shiloh Fernandez), his girlfriend, Natalie (Elizabeth Blackmore) and also their friends Olivia (Jessica Lucas) and Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci) to accompany her to their family’s remote forest cabin to help her through withdrawal. Eric finds a mysterious Book of the Dead at the cabin and reads aloud from it, awakening an ancient demon. All hell breaks loose when the malevolent entity also possesses Mia.
As he is fond of doing on the film’s birthday, Alvarez took to Twitter to share some never-before-seen pictures from the Evil Dead production. Check them out at your leisure below!

It’s rated R for strong bloody violence and gore, some sexual content and also language. Evil Dead sports a 63% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads. It may lack the absurd humor that underlined the original. But the new-look Evil Dead compensates with brutal terror, gory scares, and gleefully bloody violence.
