Exclusive: Concept Art For Bewitching THE HAUNTING OF PENDLE HILL

Writer-director Richard John Taylor’s new supernatural horror film The Haunting of Pendle Hill will shoot later this year across London, Wales, and Los Angeles before being released in 2022. And today, we have an exclusive killer concept poster.

Check out the (no pun intended) hauntingly beautiful concept poster right below!

The Haunting of Pendle Hill will focus on a young woman who makes terrifying discoveries while investigating the disappearance of her historian father. And it turns out that her dad was researching the infamous Pendle Witch Trials.

Loosely inspired by true events, the mystery horror-thriller will also explore how the monstrous real-life testimony of nine-year-old Jennet Device led to her own mother being convicted and executed for witchcraft back in 1612.

Lytton Bros. Pictures and Hello Princess produced. High Fliers Films will handle worldwide distribution. Expect to hear casting announcements soon.

No stranger to the genre, Taylor produced the award-winning Muse in 2019. Jeffrey Charles Richards and Nicholas Ball starred in the film which followed a writer struggling to cope with the death of his daughter. Dread Central described it as “one of the most powerful and thought-provoking horror films in recent memory”.

His company’s previous film, Vengeance with Billy Murray and Leslie Grantham (EastEnders) hit the UK last year. It will land in the US and Australia this year.

During the 2020 lockdown, Taylor returned to his documentary roots to direct The Krays: Gangsters Behind Bars. The flick examines the friendship between London’s most notorious twins and their associate Steve Wraith. And while we’re here and all, Taylor also has a multitude of other upcoming projects in development.
