SAW Will Now Hit 4K Ultra HD on May 11th
Lionsgate will release Saw on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital) on May 11th. That’s just in time for the release of Spiral: From the Book of Saw on May 14.

James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious) directed the flick from a screenplay written by Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man, Insidious). Cary Elwes stars along with Whannell, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Michael Emerson, Ken Leung, and Tobin Bell.

Photographer Adam Stanheight (Leigh Whannell) and oncologist Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) regain consciousness chained to pipes at either end of a filthy bathroom.
The two men realize they’re trapped by a sadistic serial killer nicknamed “Jigsaw.” Now they must complete his perverse puzzle to live. Flashbacks relate the fates of his previous victims. Meanwhile, Dr. Gordon’s wife (Monica Potter) and young daughter (Makenzie Vega) are forced to watch his torture via closed-circuit video.
It sports a 49% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Saw ensnares audiences with a deceptively clever plot and a myriad of memorable set pieces, but its ambitions are undercut by a nihilistic streak that feels more mean than profound.
