YouTuber Now Re-Imagines THE SHINING as a 1990s Era Sitcom [Video]
About a year ago, we shared a Full House parody video by The Merkins. It was the one that imagined some of our favorite famous horror slashers in a 1990s era sitcom. Check out the intro to that video – cleverly called Kill House by following the link below.

And today, we learned that YouTuber Logan Cuddemi also had a similar idea. But he’s giving Stanley Kubrick and Stephen King’s The Shining a Full House sitcom makeover! Give it a spin below.
Logan Cuddemi graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2019 with a BFA in Film/ Video. Specializing in motion graphics and also video editing, he’s a designer set on producing quality content with thematic fluency.
The Shining, of course, isn’t a sitcom. Instead, it centers on Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) who becomes winter caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado. He hopes the job will cure his writer’s block. He settles in along with his wife, Wendy (Shelley Duvall), and his son, Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is plagued by psychic premonitions. As Jack’s writing goes nowhere and Danny’s visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel’s dark secrets and begins to unravel into a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorizing his family.
The film sports an 84% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Though it deviates from Stephen King’s novel, Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is a chilling, often baroque journey into madness — exemplified by an unforgettable turn from Jack Nicholson.
