First, here’s some Tig Notaro love:
And here’s also some love for the trailer.
Snyder tells Entertainment Weekly: “Army is all done. I’m super proud and happy. I think it came out amazing. I can’t wait for fans to get a chance to see it. The new trailer is coming soon, I think in the middle of April. I’ve had a great experience with Netflix and the cast and crew. The shooting of the film was probably my most joyful cinematic experience as far as production goes.”

The MPAA slapped the movie with an R-rating for strong bloody violence, gore, and language throughout, some sexual content, and also brief nudity/graphic nudity.
Snyder says about Army of the Dead: “90% of our zombies are practical. The zombie war, the action sequences, the fighting, [Damon Caro] and I worked hard to create insane zombie mayhem. The thing about the movie that I think will be really exciting for people is the tone. That kind of tone where the movie has fun but doesn’t make fun. I really wanted to make a no holds barred, zombie insanity.”
He also adds: “It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it’s genre-on-genre in a great way. So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It’s going to surprise people that there’s a lot of warmth and real emotion.”
Army of the Dead is said to be a spiritual successor to Dawn of the Dead and centers on a group of mercenaries as they plot a heist on a Las Vegas casino during a zombie outbreak. It stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, and also Samantha Win.
