Trailer: Urban Legend Uncovered in Emotional Horror THE WATER MAN

Two teens search for the truth about a creepy local legend in the trailer for The Water Man. The film marks the first feature from actor David Oyelowo (The Cloverfield Paradox, Don’t Let Go). RLJE Films will release the flick in theaters beginning May 7th.

Synopsis:
Gunner sets out on a quest to save his ill mother. He searches for a mythic figure who possesses the secret to immortality, the Water Man. He enlists the help of a mysterious local girl, Jo. And they journey together into the remote Wild Horse forest. But the deeper they venture, the stranger and more dangerous the forest becomes. Their only hope for rescue is Gunner’s father. And he will stop at nothing to find them and in the process will discover who his son really is.

David Oyelowo directs and also plays Gunner’s father in the film. Emma Needell penned the screenplay. In addition to Oyelowo, The Water Man stars Rosario Dawson, Lonnie Chavis, Amiah Miller, Alfred Molina, and Maria Bello. RLJE Films will release the flick in theaters beginning May 7th.

David Oyelowo recently starred in Blumhouse and writer-director Jacob Aaron Estes’ science fiction horror thriller Don’t Let Go. It tells the tale of a detective who gets a shocking phone call from his recently murdered niece. Working together across time, they race to solve the crime before it can happen. Storm Reid, Alfred Molina, Brian Tyree Henry, Byron Mann, Mykelti Williamson, and Shinelle Azoroh co-starred.
