Devastating Horror Movie SWEET RIVER Now Set for April 23rd Release

Filmmaker Justin McMillan took home the “Best Director” award from Grimmfest Easter Horror Nights recently for his devastating rural gothic Sweet River. This unique and poignant horror movie from Australia will finally be released in select theaters and on VOD platforms beginning next week on Friday, April 23rd.

Sweet River Synopsis:
Hana’s search for her son’s body leads her to the sleepy town of Billing. There her investigations uncover more than she expected and threaten to expose the town’s secrets. Secrets that both the living and the dead will fight to protect.

McMillan directed Sweet River from a screenplay penned by Eddie Baroo and Marc Furmie. The film stars Lisa Kay, Eddie Baroo, and Martin Sacks. Chris Heywood co-stars Charlotte Stent, Jack Ellis, Jayden McGinlay, and Genevieve Lemon. Sam Parsonson rounds out the cast with Bryan Probets, Rob Carlton, and Jeremy Waters.
