Kevin Smith broke out in the 1990s following the tremendous success of his indie cult-classic Clerks. He stuck primarily to comedies in that era, finding additional success with Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Smith dipped his toe into horror with Red State, released in 2011. The irreverent body-horror nightmare Tusk followed in 2014 and 2016’s comedy Yoga Hosers also incorporates horror elements.

On tomorrow’s all-new episode of Post Mortem with Mick Garris, the two indie icons will have a heart-to-heart. While we can’t tell you everything that will be discussed, we can reveal that they will have a deeply personal conversation about their fathers, the successes of sleepers, and a shared medical condition that almost ended both of their careers.
