From what we can gather, the plot will focus on a T-Rex which was created by scientists in a laboratory, before it becomes infected with the Ebola virus and goes on a rampage throughout downtown Los Angeles. The visual effects are hardly blockbuster-level, and the acting clearly leaves a lot to be desired, but this looks like it could still be a fun and unashamedly cheesy monster flick which should appeal to diehard fans of the genre. At the very least, it should keep viewers satisfied until Jurassic World: Dominion opens in cinemas.
Ebola Rex was directed by Dustin Ferguson, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Ken May. If Ferguson’s name sounds familiar, it’s because he also directed other various monster movies, such as Moon of the Blood Beast, Arachnado, and Apex Predators. He clearly has a great deal of experience with creating monsters onscreen, so our readers should follow his career with great interest. In any case, Ebola Rex stars Mel Novak, Erik Anthony Russo, and Ken May, and it will be available on DVD and VOD services on June 8, thanks to distributor Wild Eye Releasing.
