Christophe Gans’ Understated Masterpiece BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF Debuts on Blu-ray
Back in 2001 French director Christophe Gans (Silent Hill) made a visual masterpiece of a film titled Brotherhood Of The Wolf, based on the entirely true legend of the Beast of Gévaudan. Starring Samuel Le Bihan (Frontier(s)), Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3) and the always amazing Vincent Cassel (Black Swan).
This film boasts stunning cinematography, masterclass acting, a great story and incredible martial arts. It made such an impression on me that I have never forgotten it. I consider it a tragically underrated film and one that deserves contention in every werewolf movie debate.
Brotherhood Of The Wolf is finally getting a Blu-ray release thanks to the fantastic folks over at Scream Factory! I cannot wait to dive back into this film.
