A crowdfunding campaign has been set up HERE and Tapert took to Twitter in order to get the word out. You can read his full message below.
The campaign on Give a Little explains:
World-renowned Stuntwoman Dayna Grant (Wonder Woman, Mad Max, Snow White, Xena, Ash vs Evil Dead) recently sustained a head injury while on set filming for an upcoming series/film. After experiencing symptoms of Traumatic Brain Injury Dayna was sent for Neuroimaging CT and MRI scans. Unfortunately receiving the devastating diagnosis of an 8mm Aneurysm and upper spinal (neck) injuries. Surgeons recommend immediate surgery. As is often the way with these things Insurance and liability are a maze of red tape and potentially life threatening delay through the Public Health system.
One thing I’ve seen in my decade+ as part of the horror industry is the way our community often comes together to support those in need. Please consider supporting Dayna Grant if you are able.
The latest chapter in the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead Rise, will ditch the cabin-in-the-woods format for an urban setting. The film is currently gearing up to go before cameras in New Zealand. The film is being directed by The Hole in the Ground director Lee Cronin and will star Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Lily Sullivan, and Alyssa Sutherland
